Many
times it has been observed that young working women after marriage have to end
their flourishing career. Most of the times the reason for leaving job after
marriage is raising a family and taking care of children and household chores.
Also, if the husband is having a transfer of job, then the wife ends up staying
at home at their new location.
But,
there are several options for jump starting your career being a housewife. Listed here are few practical and simple
techniques to start your own work from home -
Baby Crèche: If
you are comfortable with handling small children, and have a good amount of space
at home, then starting your own baby crèche can be a good option.
Home Tuitions: If
you enjoy teaching, then you can start a career as a tutor. You can start group
tuitions at your home. You can teach a bunch of subjects, or can specialize in
one or two subjects of your preference. Another career field related to this is
online tutoring. This is turning to be a lucrative career. There is a strong
demand of online tutors who can teach various subjects to students of different
countries.
Tiffin service: If
you are a good cook, and would not mind cooking tons of food everyday for
others, then starting your tiffin service can be a smart choice. You might need
a good team of helpers to support you while cooking who can assist you with
chores such as cutting, cleaning and washing.
Data entry: If
you are computer savvy, you can work on a per hour basis as a data entry
person. Here you need to fill forms and information of various companies. Also,
there are some websites that pay you for participating in their online surveys.
Content writing: If
you possess creative writing skills, then content writing, blog writing,
freelance writing can be a career for you. This career is good for those
housewives who have a good command over the language.
Fitness or Yoga Coaching: If
you are a fitness freak, and know various exercises and yoga asanas, then why
not teach others the mantra of being fit and healthy. You can start your
training batches dealing with fitness, yoga, aerobics and exercise training at
your residence.
Chocolate Making: If
you are creative and enjoy making delicious and mouth watering chocolates,
deserts, confectionaries, cakes, candies and sweets, then being a chocolatier
can be a good profession and business for you.
Consulting (Astrology, Tarot, Numerology and Vaastu): You can work as a consultant on astrology, tarot reading, numerology,
palmistry, vaastu, or feng shui, after taking a short term certification course
on these subjects.
Multi-level Marketing (MLM): If you have good networking and interpersonal skills, then you can
think of multi-level marketing as an option. You can be associated with a MLM
company, and then you can create your own team of sales people wherein you
achieve your sales targets and get a handsome commission on it.
Handicraft Making and Tailoring: You can use your creativity, manual dexterity and detail-oriented
skills into designing handicrafts, clothing, and other household decorations.
Stock Broking and Insurance Sales: If you possess basic knowledge of stock markets or insurance policies,
then you can start your career as a sales representative or broker.
Dance Teacher: If
you are trained in a particular dance form and are passionate about dancing,
then you may train kids, teenagers and adults learn various dance styles.
