Career as a Chartered Accountant (CA)



A Chartered Accountant (a.k.a. CA) is one who is specialized in accounting, auditing and taxation. CA handles matter related to accounts and finance, and also serves as a management and corporate caretaker.

A Day in a Chartered Accountant’s Life:
  •  Prepare and analyze financial reports for organizations
  •  Create balance sheets, income and loss statements, tax statements
  •  Offer services to public in need of financial advice and expertise
  •   Prepare company expenditure reports, pay slips and balance sheets
  •  Work on wealth management, financial advice and tax audits
  •  Suggest tax mitigation for business investments
  •  Auditing, bookkeeping and budget control
  •  Keep check on profit/loss, cash flow estimates and capital budget
  •  Deal with direct tax, wealth tax, income tax and filing returns
  •  Provide consultation in internal audits, corporate law , project planning

Career as an IT Database Administrator


A Database Administrator (a.k.a. DBA) is a person responsible for the installation, configuration, upgrade, administration, monitoring, migration and maintenance of databases in an organization. Other tasks include designing of database strategies, and improving database performance, capacity planning for future expansion requirements.

A Day in a Database Administrator’s Life:
  •  Install, configure, monitor and administer various databases in the company
  •  Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications
  •  Monitor and optimize the performance of database systems
  •  Work with programmers, analysts and other administrators on daily tasks
  •  Plan, coordinate and implement data security measures
  •  Work on database upgrades, migrations and patch management
  •  Train and work with database application users and answer questions
  •  Specify users and user access levels for each segment of database.
  •  Approve, schedule, supervise the installation and testing of new installations
  •  Develop standards and guidelines to guide the use and acquisition of software
