State Bank of India Recruitment Department has announced
the recruitment of 1500 Probationary Officers for which a written test will be
conducted on 28th April 2013.
Important Dates:
- Online Registration: January 30, 2013 to February 23, 2013
- Online Payment of Fees: January 30, 2013 to February 23, 2013
- Offline Payment of Fees: February 1, 2013 to February 28, 2013
- PO Written Examination: April 28, 2013
Eligibility as on 1-1-2013:
- Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.
- Not below 21 years and not above 30 years i.e candidates must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1983 and not later than 01-01-1992 (both days inclusive)
- There will be relaxation in the Upper Age Limit to Reserved category candidates as per prescribed norms.
Selection process:
Phase 1 – Written Exam
(250 Marks) consists of Objective and Descriptive Tests
- Objective Test (200 Marks) - 2 hours with 4 sections with 50 marks each
- Test of English Language (Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc)
- Test of General Awareness, Marketing and Computers
- Test of Data Analysis and Interpretation
- Test of Reasoning (High Level)
- Descriptive Test (50 Marks) - 1 hour consisting of Test of English (comprehension, short précis, letter writing & essay
Phase 2 – Group Discussion
(20 Marks) and Interview (30 Marks)
After selection from
merit list of Phase 1, students will be called for Group Discussion and
Interview.
Final Selection will be made based on results of both
