Institute
of Banking and Personnel Selection (IBPS) has made certain changes to the Common
Written Examination (CWE) process for candidates applying for jobs in public
sector banks in Probationary Officer, Management Trainee, and Clerical Grades.
The
CWE online exam is a two-tier process – preliminary exam and main exam.
Candidates will first appear for the preliminary exam. Successful candidates
will be short-listed for the next stage of main exam. Candidates who are
shortlisted from the main exam results, are then called for Common Interview.
Prelim
Examination – Total composite time of 1 hour
- English Language – 30 questions for 30 marks
- Quantitative Aptitude – 35 questions for 35 marks
- Reasoning Ability – 35 questions for 35 marks
Main
Examination – Total composite time of 2 hours
- Reasoning – 50 questions for 50 marks
- English Language – 40 questions for 40 marks
- Quantitative Aptitude – 50 questions for 50 marks
- General Awareness (with special reference to Banking Industry) – 40 questions for 40 marks
- Computer Knowledge – 20 questions for 20 marks
