Students
who are aspiring to pursue 3 year and 5 year law degree courses at government run,
aided and unaided colleges in Maharashtra will have to appear for a Common
Entrance Test (CET) for Law courses starting academic year 2016-17 on 22nd May 2016.
Until
last year, admission to law courses was only based on merit. As the government has
given professional status to law degrees, this new
entrance test and centralized admission process has been introduced.
CET LL.B. (3 year) and CET LL.B.
(5 year) Pattern:
- Total Marks – 150 marks
- Duration of CET – 2 hours
- Type of questions – MCQ objective type
- Number of questions – 150 questions
- Marking system – 1 mark for each right answer, no negative marking
CET Syllabus for Three year
LL. B. Course:
- Legal Aptitude – 30 marks
- General Knowledge with current affairs – 40 marks
- Logical & Analytical reasoning – 30 marks
- English – 50 marks
CET Syllabus for Five year
integrated LL. B. Course:
- Legal Aptitude – 40 marks
- General Knowledge with current affairs – 30 marks
- Logical reasoning – 30 marks
- English – 30 marks
- Basic Mathematics – 20 marks
CET LL.B. (3 year) and CET LL.B.
(5 year) Exam Dates:
- CET for LL.B. (3 year) Entrance Exam Date – 22nd May 2016
- CET for Integrated LL.B. (5 year) Entrance Exam Date – 22nd May 2016
